Kids , Book's & The Kitchen!
Childrens stories are wonderful. Some we grew up with and pass down to our children. One that I fondly remember is , If You Give A Mouse A Cookie. Which is also a entire series with other titles like , If You Throw A Pig a Party or If You Give A Moose A Muffin. Until recently I just read to my kids before bed , however I recently discovered the funnest way to get them involved in the kitchen which helps teach math and science, but also to spend even more time with them while keeping them entertained.
Pairing up books with cooking and crafts. So for example last year we did If You Give A Moose a Muffin and made muffins together!
This can really be used for a lot of books. Here is a list of fun ideas that I'll add to from time to time.
If You Give A Moose A Muffin - Make muffins and get blackberry jam. If you're feeling really patient and adventurous you could even make the blackberry jam!
If You Give A Mouse A Cookie - Make your favorite cookies! Draw a picture then hang them on the fridge !
